James and I LOVE waking Doster up in the mornings. We don't technically "wake him" ; he's usually playing in his crib. But we both really enjoy going to get him, playing with him in his crib for a few minutes, talking, maybe singing a song... all that fun stuff.
One of our favorite parts is seeing what his first word of the day will be. I always wonder what's been on his little mind while he's waiting on us to come get him. I decided to keep a little diary of his first word of the day. I may not be able to keep up with it, but I'm going to at least start.

Saturday, 1/24 I wouldn't even know where to begin on this one. Doster spent the night in our room for the first time since he was a tiny baby-- he wasn't feeling well at all. I was far too delirious to know what he said.

Saturday, 1/31 Book (maybe, I can't really remember-- he asked for a lot of books this morning though)
It was fun keeping up with this for a month, but I don't think I'll be recording the daily first words in the future. Too much pressure on my over-worked brain to remember and record!
I will still look forward to seeing what Doster has on his little baby-mind every morning. It truly is one of my favorite parts of mommy-ness.
It's February now as I am about to publish this and I can already tell how much his vocabulary has changed since the beginning of the year! This month has really been the month of "phrases". I'll do a blog soon on Doster's greatest hits.
